Consultation on the Government proposed changes to the Planning system

We are concerned that the proposals from the UK Government for streamlining the Planning system will dilute the value of both Neighbourhood Plans and also Local Plans, particularly in relation to the community having a say in where development should take place and what is appropriate for the local community.

We have written to our local MP Caroline Noakes with regard to this issue and we are pleased that she supported our position in the Parliamentary debate on the changes. We also submitted our comments directly through the official channels.
